Alyshia Rushing, known online as “Mama A,” has reportedly died at 26 following a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery, Alabama, leaving behind her four children, according to a GoFundMe fundraiser launched in her memory.

What happened?

TikTok creator Alyshia died on Saturday, August 22, after a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery, Alabama, according to Embrace Life Media. The father of her children confirmed her death.

The crash happened around 2:15am on southbound I-85, between Mitylene and Taylor roads, according to the initial news report cited by Embrace Life Media. Both male drivers died at the scene. A female passenger was taken to the hospital with serious but initially non-life-threatening injuries. One of the vehicles was on fire when first responders arrived. The initial report did not name the female passenger.

GoFundMe launched to support her children

A GoFundMe titled "In Loving Memory of Alyshia 'Mama A' Rushing" has been set up to help her four children, Karter, Raelynn, Zoey, and Aydan. As per the fundraiser page, Alyshia was "their mother, caregiver, provider, safe place, and greatest source of love," and her children are now adjusting to life without her while their father takes on full responsibility for their care.

The fundraiser states that donations will go toward the children's immediate and ongoing needs, including food, clothing, housing, school expenses, transportation, childcare, activities, and counseling. It also notes that funds will help their father "prepare for future expenses" so the children "can continue growing, learning, and healing in a safe and supportive environment."

The organizers have flagged that other GoFundMe pages may be circulating and have clarified that this is "the only fundraiser authorized to support Alyshia's children and their father."

Fans mourn TikTok star's sudden death

Alyshia's followers took to social media to share their grief.

One fan wrote, “One of my favorite TikTok content creators passed away and I just watched her videos a few days ago. RIP to Alyshia Rushing. Lord please protect her babies.”

Another follower shared, “Alyshia Rushing was my favorite content creators frfr. Watch her every night in bed! Seeing her videos now and knowing she's gone and left behind 4 kids is truly heartbreaking! Like I'm really taken aback.”

One wrote, “RIP to Alyshia Rushing. So sad & unfortunate, she was really getting herself back together & flourishing. I really hope one day her children finds all her videos and sees how much she loved and cared for them.”
