Amitabh Bachchan returns to the quizmaster’s chair once again to host Kaun Banega Crorepati season 10. Before Big B invites contestants to the hot seat, the actor sat down and answered media questions on the show and his life on Tuesday.

Amitabh was asked that after hosting nine seasons of Kaun Banega Crorepati, does he think he can survive as a contestant. “I will lose if I become a contestant on #KBC10. I won’t be able to answer more than 2-3 questions,” was the actor’s candid reply.

The actor was also asked his reaction to Salman Khan saying he would like to host Kaun banega Crorepati. “He is welcome to do it,” Amitabh said.

He also spoke about granddaughter Aaradhya being fond of the show’s background music. “She knows that there is a show called #KBC. She prefers the tune. I have not played with her but I should start,” Amitabh said in answer to whether Abhishek and Aishwarya’s daughter has played a make-believe version of KBC with her granddad.

The veteran actor also opened up about the actors in the Hindi film industry today and how he is in awe of the young talent. “Actors like Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone are so capable that I am scared to work with them, they will eat me up,” he said, adding, “Look at the work by the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Varun Dhawan and even Kartik Aaryan have done.”

The actor who recently donated Rs 51 lakh and his personal belongings for Kerala relief effort also revealed that he had earlier paid Rs 1.25 crore to repay farmers’ loans in the past.”I was shocked by farmers’ suicides. Several years ago, when I was shooting in Vizag, I got to know that the farmers were taking their lives, not being able to pay off loans of some thousands. I got a list of around 50 families and paid off their loans. Recently also, through my bank, I got a list of 200 farmers and we have cleared their loans amounting to Rs 1.25 crore.” He revealed that he has also helped the families of martyrs. “I want to thank the CM’s office that helped us collate a list of 44 families. We have drafted 112 drafts of some crores towards them already,” he said.
