Ankita’s birthday surprise for Sushant Singh Rajput

The actor arrived on the sets of her boyfriend’s next in Kolkata to spend time with him; has taken a week off from her TV serial shoot

Ankita Lokhande found herself in such a situation, so she decided to surprise boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput by flying to the city where he is shooting and landing up on the set.

While Sushant was shooting for Dibakar Banerjee’s directorial, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy (DBB), in Kolkata, Ankita arrived at the film sets to surprise him on his birthday (January 21).

"Sushant is known to switch off his mobile phone while shooting. Ankita wanted to spend time with him on his birthday. But since Sushant was busy shooting all day, they didn’t do anything special," says a source.

Ankita has taken a week off from the shoot of her television show, Pavitra Rishta, to spend quality time with her boyfriend. "I have come here (Kolkata) for a couple of days as I wanted to be with him. He’s shooting every day, and it’s difficult to reach him as he’s without his phone," says Ankita.

Last year, she had taken a long break from her shooting schedule to be with Sushant before the release of Kai Po Che (2013).

DBB is a period film about a young Byomkesh, and his journey towards becoming a detective.
