It seems actors Surbhi Jyoti and Sumit Suri are more than close friends. If sources are to be believed, they have been seeing each other. Their close friends, too, have long been aware of their closeness.

“They like each other a lot and have been together for almost four months now,” says a source. “Surbhi has reduced socialising, and spends most of her free time with Sumit. He, too, makes sure that he keeps himself free for her. They want to keep their relationship discreet. However, their friends know about their closeness,” the source adds.

Surbhi, who is a part of an ongoing fantasy fiction TV series, was heard telling her friends that she finds Sumit not just good-looking, but also a wonderful human being, who is different from the ‘typical television crowd’.

When contacted Sumit, the actor said, “I would not like to comment on it,” adding, “such rumours are bound to happen when two people working together become friends and often catch up.” Surbhi was unavailable for a comment.

Surbhi and Sumit, interestingly, have been a part of a music video titled Haanji, directed by Gurmmeet Singh. The actors play bride and groom in the video, which also stars Fukrey (2013) actor Varun Sharma and Manjari Fadnis of Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008) fame. The video is a sequel to an earlier music video Lage Rahe that released two years back, and was created by the same team of Rabbit Sack C and Sumit. Haanji is expected to release online in August.

For the uninitiated, Surbhi is known for the popular TV show Qubool Hai, and has done other fiction and non-fiction shows including Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai, Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 and Comedy Nights Live. She has also done a few Punjabi films.

Sumit, on the other hand, played the role of Captain Ranjit Surjewal in the web series The Test Case starring Nimrat Kaur. He has also been part of films such as Warning (2013), What the Fish (2013) and Babloo Happy Hai (2014), and the reality TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
