Divyanka Tripathi suffers multiple fractures in leg, resumes work
On March 13, Divyanka Tripathi slipped off the stage of an awards show during the technical rehearsals and fell five feet. She suffered multiple fractures in her left leg, which is now in a cast. After being rushed to the hospital, Divyanka resumed work the very same day.

One would expect an actor to take at least a few days off in a situation like this, but clearly, that’s not the norm in the TV industry.
After being rushed to the hospital, Divyanka resumed work the very same day. The makers of her TV show had her fractured leg written into the show, in order to account for her plaster. Safe to say, Divyanka, who has been moving around the sets of her show in a wheelchair, has been having a tough time.
“The plaster will stay on for the next two weeks. Even later, I have been advised not to put too much pressure on the leg. I was mobile thanks to the wheelchair, but climbing the vanity van and changing clothes multiple times a day is harrowing.”
While she has a green room on the ground floor of the studio the show is being shot at, outdoor schedules tend to become troublesome for her.
“I have to hop around on one leg to move around whenever the wheelchair can’t be used. My right leg also hurts at times because my entire body weight is on it. The producers have been very helpful, but such is the life of a TV actor… we can’t help it as we have to shoot.”
