Erica Fernandez shoots as the new Prerna Bajaj for Kasautii Zindagii Kay remake promo
The remake for Kasautii Zindagii Kay has begun shooting with Erica Fernandez of Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi.
Ekta Kapoor might be tight-lipped about the ‘old epic saga’ she is remaking but internet sleuths may have just found out what she is hiding. The television producer is reportedly remaking her hit soap opera from the early 2000s, Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
According to news reports and viral images online, the reboot has already found its lead male and female actors. Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi actor Erica Fernandez was recently spotted shooting for a new version of the iconic promo from the show. She was seen in a black suit and red duppatta, just like Shweta Tiwar
The unidentified male lead of the show and Erica were seen shooting around a wooden boat in front of a giant green screen for the dramatic new promo. Some news reports suggest that actor Shaheer Sheikh will play Anurag on the show. He has also previously worked with Erica on Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi.
Erica participated in Femina Miss India in the year 2012, worked in a few Telugu films, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi films and shot to popularity as Dr Sonakshi Bose on Kuch Rang... She is also a beauty vlogger.
Ekta announced that she would reboot an old television series in February with an Instagram post. “With a piece of my broken heart I wrote in 2001 ...17 years later I ‘ reboot’ it dipping it in personal pain and lacing it with experiences of an older me! Bringing back my most successful love saga that ran for 9 years!!! Again I’ll take my broken heart n make it into art!!!,” she had captioned the post.
She also tweeted on Tuesday that we assume was about Urvashi Dholakia. She wrote about how Urvashi will always be the only choice for the antagonist of the remake as well.
“Even though there will b a reboot in her character ... it’ll b a v difficult casting for this iconic antagonist! So first choice will b hopefully d last choice JAI MATA DI,” she wrote in her tweet.
