Sharad Kelkar can’t contain his happiness on seeing his bundle of joy. Sharad and Kirti were blessed with a baby girl last Friday (February 7). Sharad who was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his baby is on cloud nine. He says, “I can’t describe my feelings right now. It is still sinking in. I am suddenly feeling a sense of responsibility. It feels like starting a new life.” The mother and child are doing well, butsince the delivery was a C-section they will be in the hospital for a few days.

“We have thought of many names and zeroed in on a few, but we haven’t finalised anything yet,” adds the proud father who also tweeted, “Her eyes are crinkly, nose, cheeks so tiny & she's still just abt trying to recognise me... blessed to be a #father to her! (sic.)”.
He has been flooded with congratulatory calls from his friends and colleagues from film and TV.
