Salman Khan is known for promoting new talent. In this case he revived somebody's career. The actor used his influence to get a gal inside the Bigg Boss House. Hint: She shared screenspace with Sallu in two films.
She shined in Bollywood with a few films, only to fade into anonymity soon after. Had it not been for Salman Khan, Bollywood starlet Mahek Chahel would not have participated in Bigg Boss 5. Congrats, if you guessed it right!
The actor who started her career with Nayee Padosan also did an item number in Chameli.
Salman Khan not only recommended her name to several production houses, he also helped her get into Bigg Boss 5, reports Mumbai Mirror. Mahek has also done bit roles in Salman's Wanted and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna.
The starlet had returned to her house in Norway, when she got a call from the makers of Bigg Boss 5.
“Mahek was very disappointed with the way Bollywood treated her. She felt that she deserved a better deal and moved back to Norway. Salman was still in touch with her. In fact it was he who recommended her name to the producers of Bigg Boss,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.
Mahek said yes to the offer immediately, as she trusts Salman blindly.
Mahek Chahel reportedly was ready with her bags to enter the house when she got a confirmation call from the channel.
