Here’s why you shouldn’t watch Game of Thrones’ leaked episode 4, The Spoils of War
Fans have taken to Twitter to urge others to avoid watching the leaked episode 4 of Game of Thrones, The Spoils of War. Here’s why.tv Updated: Aug 06, 2017 17:00 IST
The Spoils of War, episode 4 of the seventh season of Game of Thrones was leaked on Friday. The leak was traced to Star India, who confirmed the unfortunate event, and promised an enquiry would be conducted. But fans of the show are more concerned with a bigger question: Should they or shouldn’t they watch the episode before it airs.
Aside from the fact that doing so would be illegal, several fans on Twitter have pointed out that the leaked episode isn’t in HD. The 360p file, with visible Star India watermarks and a timestamp that last the entire 50-minute duration of the episode, has proven to be enough of a deterrent for fans.
Some even urged others to support the show and watch it legally when it is aired - Monday morning for us in India.
Here are some reactions:
Why would I choose to watch some low quality ugly #GameofThrones leak and not support a show I've supposed for seven seasons? Don't get it.— Daniel Falconer (@DanielJFalconer) August 5, 2017
The #GameOfThrones leak of this Sunday's episode 4 is real, but its also only 2ch/360p and with GoT it matters. I can wait for perfection.— Big Wave Dave ???? (@BigWaveOregon) August 4, 2017
I can barely see through the darkness of #GameofThrones in HD, so I'm definitely not going to download a 360p leak one day early :|— Michael (@MichaelHBF) August 5, 2017
So, the leaked episode of #GameOfThrones is 360p...nope!— Eldred Death-Valley (@EldredDValley) August 5, 2017
Okay let's get down to the real question.— Refty (@Refty) August 5, 2017
How can you all be OKAY with watching #GameOfThrones in 360p? How do you sleep at night? ??
Still going to watch #GameofThrones this night as if I didn't watch the leaked episode— Igala_Alan_Shore (@i_am_Anomeli) August 6, 2017
