Hiten Tejwani calls Bigg Boss co-contestant Hina Khan ‘fake’
Hiten Tejwani, who just got evicted from reality TV show Bigg Boss 11 says while he’ll miss his friends in the house, contestants like actor Hina Khan need to practice what they preach.
Hiten Tejwani has been evicted from the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 11, which is being hosted by actor Salman Khan. And much like his fans, he was not expecting to be voted out, just yet. The popular TV actor, along with co-contestant Priyank Sharma received the least number of votes this week. So, the housemates were given the opportunity to vote out one among the two, and majority voted against Hiten.
“The game was getting dirtier. At this point everyone is trying their best to make sure they reach the finals. So they obviously wanted their strongest opponent to leave, to make their positions better. Hence, I was voted out. I think only Vikas [Gupta], Arshi [Khan] and Puneesh [Sharma] wanted me to stay,” says Hiten, who is open to be a part of the show as a wild card entry.
“I want to really go back to the show and try my best to win it. My journey in the house was wonderful. The best part was that the house did not change me at all. I have gone inside and come back as the same person. I did not get into any dirty back-biting and unnecessary yelling,” adds the actor, known for shows such as Kutumb, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kumkum.
So, what does he have to say about being accused of not taking a stand inside the house, when required? “The reason this was said against me is because they wanted me to be like them, but I am a calm and understanding person, who did not do anything just for the heck of it. I believe in peace. Also, I had no intention of doing anything for the sake of grabbing attention. Where I was required to take a stand, I did,” he clarifies.
On the show, co-contestant Arshi has openly spoken about her liking for Hiten and he has often spoken about how uncomfortable he felt every time Arshi made advances. “Initially I was (uncomfortable), but when I realised that she was just doing it to get attention on the show, I did not give it much importance. In the first day only she has said how much she respects me. Also, as a friend, Arshi was always loyal and to me. That matters the most,” says the
43-year-old actor.
Asked about who according to him is playing the game well, Hiten is quick to add, Vikas and Shilpa [Shinde]. “Hina [Khan] is fake. She was saying something and doing something else. I think she should practice what she preaches,” he adds.
Along with his friends, Vikas, Puneesh and Arshi, what Hiten will also miss is Salman Khan and the home-cooked delicacies he used to get for all the contestants every weekend. “When I got voted out I asked Salman Khan if I would miss out on his ghar ka khana… mutton, chicken, rice, dal etc and he said that I won’t. And I didn’t. Salman is the best part of Bigg Boss. Whatever you do the entire week, he comes back every weekend to put things in place. There can’t be anyone better than him,” Hiten wraps up.
