The reason for the delay was his co-judge Farah Khan. The lady choreographer-director was shooting an item number for a movie being directed by Shankar down south.

And her flight arrived only a few minutes past 11 pm. So, the shoot commenced at 12.30 am and wrapped up with the birds tweeting on tree tops! Phew!
