I feel blessed: Winner, X Factor India

Geet Sagar, winner of X Factor India, can’t stop thanking his stars for his achievement.

I feel I am blessed. I feel so proud and humble. I am enjoying my moments of glory,” said 27-year-old Geet Sagar, after after winning the show, X Factor India.

As the winner of the show that was judged by singers Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal, and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Geet has bagged Rs 50 lakh, a Tata Manza car and an opportunity to do playback singing for a Karan Johar film.



“I feel blessed. I am really looking forward to singing for Karan Johar. It’s great that I have got this opportunity so early in my life,” says Geet.



Talking about his journey on the show, Geet, who earlier worked as a Radio Jockey says , “My journey was adventurous. It was full of high tides, low tides... good times and bad times... but I am glad that I sailed through and could make everyone proud.”



Moving on, Geet, who hails from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, seems to be in awe of his mentor, Shreya Ghoshal. “She is really a great person who always supported me all the time. She has been a wonderful mentor. I loved her voice and I actually learnt a lot from her,” says Geet.



Talking about his future plans, Geet says, "l will continue learning music. And now with the responsibility bestowed on me, I have to prove my mettle. I don’t believe in planning as I believe God has plans for me.”
