Aren’t you bored of being the hostess for Indian Idol 3 for the third consecutive year?
I don’t look at it that way. I simply have to be a part of this show. It’s not just about being up there on stage. I travel to different cities interacting with the participants. At the show, it’s all about hugging the contestants when they succeed and consoling them on a bad performance. I’m their human handkerchief.

I’m still in touch with most of the previous contestants like Abhijeet Sawant, Amit Sana, Prajakta Shukre and Rahul Vaidya.

Who’s responsible for your look?
I give the credit to my stylist, Nishika Hegde and designer Rishika. They’ve been with me ever since I was an MTV veejay. I can wear a sari, but comfort is a must. I’m involved with the colours, prints, styling and accessorising to the point of being fussy.

Do you miss your co-host Aman Varma?
The channel had its own reasons. I miss him the way I miss the earlier judges, Farah Khan and Sonu Nigam.

Any other shows on the anvil?
Not yet. I enjoy hosting live events. Till Indian Idol is on, I can’t dream about doing another show.
