"I haven’t informed my mother about my role yet," he says. The actor, who plays the anti-hero, was worried about his family’s reaction. "I am scared to tell my mom that I play a rapist. I am anxious to know how she and my family will react. I have told my close friends to just watch the show but not given them many details," he says.

When asked why he has refrained from doing so, Vatsal says, "I come from a Gujarati family. Though they are not very conservative, I am still a mamma’s boy and this role is unlike my previous work. My character has shades of grey and he does some nasty things. My dad has been asking me about the role and the show, but I haven’t told him anything."

Nevertheless, Vatsal is enjoying the part. "It’s fun to play someone who is totally the opposite of me. It’s not only challenging, but is intriguing too."
