Irrfan Khan has been part of various Hollywood and British film projects. After garnering appreciation for his latest American outing, Jurassic World, he will now be seen in a Japanese TV show.
Apparently, Irrfan will start shooting for the show, which is a miniseries based on World War II, next week.
A source says, "He will start shooting in Europe in a few days. Some parts of the show will also be filmed in Japan. It will be directed by Canadian director and screenwriter, Rob W King, and Dutch director, Pieter Verhoeff. Irrfan will play the role of an Indian judge on the show, which is based on a decade-long investigation of events in the Pacific during and after the war."
The executive producer of the Japanese production, Takafumi Yuki, says, "Irrfan is a leading star in the world, and we are proud to have such a great actor on board. We are confident that this international co-production will deliver a great message to the audience the world over."
When contacted, Irrfan said, "I am quite excited to explore this character."
