More CGI graphics
Keeping up with the technology, the show has introduced a new way of showing the prize money ladder and the lifelines. The 3D graphics now float around on your screen and the host also interacts with them as such.
The first lifelines are used
While Sonia did exceedingly well in the initial few questions, she faced trouble on a question about the Air Force. She was asked the origin of the Indian Air Force motto, Nabah Sparsham Deeptam. She had to use the 50-50 lifeline and the audience poll. The audience gave the right answer and helped her win.
Amitabh chats with Sonia’s parents
Sonia’s parents seemed proud at their daughter’s achievements. Amitabh told the audience about an episode from Sonia’s childhood in which she asked her mother who should she tie a rakhi to as she doesn’t have a brother. Her mother told her to tie it to her father. Sonia’s father grew emotional and said all his daughters still tie him rakhis.
Amitabh spoke a few words on the precious relationship fathers have with their daughters.
Sonia talks about her husband and daughters
Sonia said that she married a Bengali man and their wedding. She talked about sweet moments from her wedding and how the different food habits of her and her husband made for an interesting wedding.
She also talked about her two daughters -- her two-year-old German Shephard and her eight-month-old baby daughter. She talked with great affection for her dog, who she says taught her about the simplicity of feelings.
Sonia used her last two lifelines
At the question for Rs 12.5 lakhs, Sonia faced trouble. She was asked to identify the eastern-most state capital of the mentioned states: Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland and Manipur. She uses her ‘jodidaar’ lifeline but could not find the right answer. However, and expert on call, senior journalist Anjana Om Prakash came to her rescue with the final lifeline and helps her win the prize money. The night answer was Nagaland.
