Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 winner is Punit J Pathak, Aditya Narayan first runner-up of Rohit Shetty show

The Khatron Ke Khiladi grand finale saw Akshay Kumar perform stunts on the stage before Punit J Pathak bagged the trophy.

Choreographer Punit J Pathak defeated singer Aditya Narayan to lift the trophy for the latest season of Khatron Ke Khiladi on Sunday evening. Punit took home prize money of Rs 20 lakh, apart from a Swift car. The grand finale on Sunday also saw Akshay Kumar, Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan and Diljit Dosanjh as guests.

Hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, Khatron Ke Khiladi is in the ninth season and had 12 contestants -- TV actors Bharti Singh, Ridhima Pandit, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Vikas Gupta, Avika Gor, Zain Imam, Jasmin Bhasin, Aly Goni, former cricketer Sreesanth, Bollywood actor Shamita Shetty, singer-actor Aditya Narayan and choreographer Punit J Pathak. Aditya Narayan made it to the finale and ended up as the runner-up on the show.

The grand finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi also saw Akshay Kumar performing daredevil stunts on the stage. In the stunt curated by Rohit Shetty, Akshay was seen getting chased by a truck while he attempted to cross burning cars. Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan and Dilijit Dosanjh also held a live audition. Earlier, Akshay had tweeted about his stunt on the Khatron Ke Khiladi set. “It’s a flaming week for ‘Kesari’. Warming up with Rohit for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi,” he wrote. Along with it, he also posted a photograph of himself with the Simmba director.
