Actor-comedian Kiku Sharda says that it is unfair for people to bother Kapil Sharma with tough questions when he needs time and space to recover from poor health.

When actor-comedian Kapil Sharma’s show, The Kapil Sharma Show, announced a break due to his poor health, speculation was rife that this was a planned decision due to the show’s poor TRPs . Kapil’s bad health also resulted in cancelled shoots and celebrity guests leaving the sets at the last minute. However, Kapil’s co-star Kiku Sharda says that upsetting industry people was not a risk anyone could have taken.

“There was no strategy and planning because the decision to take a break was taken very urgently. It wasn’t an organised break. The theory about taking the show off air as a planned thing makes no sense. If the shootings were getting cancelled at the last minute then no one could have planned it. The channel will not upset actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn and send them off,” says Kiku, who played multiple roles in the show.

The last team that left the sets of the show without shooting was that of Milan Luthria’s Ajay Devgn-starrer Baadshaho.

“After Ajay’s shooting got cancelled, we decided that why should Kapil continue and feel pressured so much. Kapil’s health is more important. He was shooting for his film in some really hot place in Rajasthan and the weather conditions would change for him every time he would come back. On a daily basis, he had to keep a tab on his film Firangi’s production, plus he is also the producer of the show so he had to take care of a lot of things here as well. That can get too much to handle,” he says.

Kiku, 42, also believes that it is unfair for people to bother Kapil with tough questions and keep charging at him for every report that surfaces.

“ I am not in touch with him because I want him to rest and relax. Such a positive show is not made easily but if such a show is made then the man who is the main sutradar deserves a break. People, show patience,” says the actor.
