The beautiful Rohini of
Radha ki Betiyaan…
will now be seen in an episode of Specials @ 10 on Sony. And as she readies for the role the elusive Mona looks back at her role in
and looks forward to her new role.
She still cherishes her fond memories of working in Radha Ki Betiyaann... The actress who has earlier been seen in Jamegi Jodi.com and Milee, says, "I am very happy and content the way Radha Ki Betiyaan… shaped up and even though it has gone off air, I think people will remember it for a long time. And I will be remembered as Rohini. This gives me a very happy feeling," says the attractive actress.
Don't you feel the show should have run longer? "Well…it is true that if the show ran for some more time, the other daughters of Radha would have also have come in focus and their lives would also be showcased. This would have led to it being a more complete serial. However, there is no denying the fact that TRP plays a very important role in serials and I guess our show was not being able to gather the kind of ratings the producers and broadcasters wanted it to," explains Mona.
She is all praise for the show because it has helped her leapfrog from almost-anonymity to fame. "In the last one year I have gained a lot from Radha Ki Betiyaan. It is undoubtedly the most challenging role I have played in my career," says Mona.
What are her future plans? "Right now I am taking it a bit easy and relaxing. I will wait for the right role and script to recharge me and my creative skills. But I will continue doing the small 'episodic' roles in different serials," informs the actress who has just completed shooting for Specials @ 10.
"My series was with Madhur Bhandarkar and the episode was directed by Ashwini Chowdhury. You will be able to see it after two weeks and I cannot divulge anything now!"
