Producer-director Rajan Shahi is back on the scene. His next big show after Sapnaa Babul Ka Bidaai that ended last year and the on-air Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is called Kuch To Log Kahege. It will soon be on air on Sony Entertainment in the 8 pm slot that’s currently occupied by Krishnaben Khakhrawala. The show brings actor Mohnish Behl back as the lead actor of a daily soap.

And Ekta Kapoor’s discovery, Kritika Kamra, last seen in Kitani Mohabbat Hai Season Two, is his leading lady. The show is based on a relationship between an older man and a much younger woman. The soap, which will run four days a week, is an adaptation of a popular Pakistani daily called Dhoop Kinare. It ran over 25 years ago on PTV Network and was among the most popular shows on air back then.

Actors Rahat Kazmi and Marina Khan played the leads and became household names with the show. It was widely watched in Pakistan and in India simultaneously. The original story revolves around a hospital and its team of doctors, and their interpersonal relationships. It was roughly a 20-episode series and ended in due course. However, the network re-ran the show continuously for over two decades without letting the popularity of the story dwindle. Officials from Sony Entertainment weren’t available to comment. Rajan, whose production house Director’s Kut is working on Kuch To Log Kahenge’s publicity shoots and the regular episodes, says, "I can’t officially comment on the matter till the channel asks me to go ahead. It’s best if they speak."

On last check, promotional photo shoots with the lead actors were being conducted at a city studio. The show is likely to be on air in the first half of September.
