A popular dancing reality show that features leading celebrity couples from the TV industry has also been known to have A-list judges. And with the seventh season soon to kick off, producer Ekta Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that it is as high on star value as the previous editions were. If all goes well, Priyanka Chopra might be the one bringing that star quotient.

“Ekta and her team have introduced several new angles this season, such as locking the contestants in a house for the duration of their stay on the show,” says a source.

Previously judged by actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra, director Sajid Khan and choreographer Terence Lewis, the panel will now see a complete change.

“Director Anurag Basu is on board, and talks with three choreographers are on. Talks were also on with Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, but nothing materialised. Priyanka Chopra was at the top of their list, but talks stagnated when she left for the US to shoot for a TV show. Now, talks are progressing well. Depending on her film and ad commitments, she will soon take a call,” says the source, adding, “Ekta might be the fourth judge, who will have the power to overrule decisions made by the other three.”
