Rashami Desai isn’t pleased with relationship rumours with co-star Laksh

The Uttaran actor Rashami Desai is upset about linkup rumours with her co-star Laksh Lalwani after she posted a photo with him on social media.

Rashami Desai uploaded a photo with her co-star Laksh Lalwani on Instagram three days ago. Since then, reports linking her to the latter have been doing the rounds. However, the actor, who divorced her husband Nandish Sandhu earlier this year, is not pleased with the rumours.

Rashami and Laksh became friends while working on the TV show, Adhuri Kahani Humari. A source close to Rashami says, “It is embarrassing to read such stories. Rashami is disgusted that a regular photo with a friend has been blown out of proportion. She doesn’t want to give any explanation. She is busy working on an upcoming project, and doesn’t need any unwarranted publicity.”

Laksh, too, is angry about the link-up reports, and calls them “baseless”. He says, “Currently, I’m only focusing on my work. I don’t understand how anyone can judge someone on the basis of a photo, and make a story out of it without knowing the facts. Some people are trying to bring down an established actor like Rashami. Both of us had to not only deal with this, but also explain things to our families.”

The reports also commented on the age gap between the actors. While Rashami is 30, Laksh is 20. “We have a lot of respect for each other. It is a regular photo clicked by two friends. She uploaded it herself. In no way was she hiding anything. So, why the insinuation?” asks Laksh.
