A source from the sets confirms the news saying, “Salman and Katrina (Kaif)visited the sets of Indian Idol 6 to promote their upcoming film, Ek Tha Tiger. Everyone was very excited including Amit, who couldn’t believe that the man he worshipped all his life, was there in person. Later when Salman asked Amit about his love for bikes, he explained how he went to school on his friend’s cycle and eventually his father bought him a second-hand moped. That’s when Salman suddenly pulled out the key to a brand new bike and handed it over to Amit.”Salman, it seems, had done a fair bit of research on all the contestants before he visited the sets of the show. The actor knew that Amit had always wanted to own a motorbike. The 20-year-old singer comes from a humble background. His father owns a salon in Amritsar and is assisted by Amit in his work.

Talking about the incident, an excited Amit says, “At first, I thought it was a joke or something that was being staged for the cameras. But after we wrapped up the episode, he took me out of the studio to show me the bike. I was speechless and started jumping with joy.” Amit adds that he plans to take his fellow contestants on a ride soon.
