Shilpa Shetty turns down US TV show to take care of son

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra was recently offered a role in the second season of the American television series, The Royals. The makers had sent a brief to Shilpa regarding her part. But the actor has apparently turned down the offer.

A source close to Shilpa says, “She was offered a pivotal role, and she liked the character and the script as well. Shilpa had initially requested them (the show’s makers) to wait until she checks her schedule. But later, she rejected the offer, saying that she had to take care of her son, along with some other commitments regarding her fashion label. She has multiple meetings lined up as well.”

If Shilpa would have agreed to be part of the show, she would have had two shooting schedules — one beginning in mid-July this year, and another one in August.

“It was not possible for her to travel abroad during that period. The makers, too, could not delay the filming schedule, and thus the project didn’t work out for her,” adds the source.

We tried contacting Shilpa, but she remained unavailable for a comment.
