The show has nothing new to offer in terms of style. Of course, one can never have enough of Farah Khan’s smart comments or Anu Mallik’s shayaris (poetry), which are always new, but that’s just about it. One expects something new from a show’s third season. But here, one switches the channel with great disappointment. Mona Singh and Vishal Malhotra yak in large quantities (not needed guys!).

Whatever ratings the show gets, is only for Farah and Anu, who hold it together. The acts, baring one or two, are nothing different from other shows running on similar themes. In fact, a group of specially-abled girls and boys appeared on this show, as well as the competing one on another channel recently.

What we like
Farah Khan and Anu Mallik’s fun chemistry.

What we don’t like
Repetition of acts from other shows.

Show: Sanjog Se Bani Sangini
Time: 10 pm, weekdays
Station: Zee TV
Cast: Iqbal Khan, Binny Sharma

This one is a typical show for the typical viewer. One cannot disregard the fact that every story has some potential. The difference lies in the way the story is narrated. This one is the story of a guy, who has lost his love to someone else, and eventually falls in love with another girl. We wish the style of story telling wasn’t so melodramatic; it might have helped the show save some viewers atleast.
Also, the way the women dress up in the show resembles the Kyunki Saas… days of Indian television — heavy jewellery, jari saris and jarring make-up. Once again, there’s nothing new in the feel of the leading lady’s (Binny Sharma) character. She’s the epitome of virtues, like leading ladies in all daily soaps are. Apart from the scenic Haridwar, one finds very few reasons to watch this show.

What we like
The way Haridwar, as a location, has been used.

What we don’t like
The lack of newness in more than one place.
