She is best known for her role as Amoli in the popular TV show, Bairi Piya and most recently, for her critically-acclaimed act as the rebellious housewife in the film Zindagi 50-50.

Now, actor Supriya Kumari, 26, is all kicked about her re-entry into TV by stepping into the shoes of actor Yashashree Masurkar for the role of Bharti in Sanskaar- Dharohar Apno Ki.
In the show, which airs on Colors, Bharti’s character has so far been subdued though it happens to be one of the prime roles, so much so, that Ansu baa, (played by Aruna Irani), even promises to get her married to the male lead, Kishan (played by Jay Soni). However, briefly after Kishan marries Bhoomi, Bharti’s track came to a halt.
Supriya feels that the reason could be Yashashree’s inability to bring spark to the character. “I heard people on the sets discussing that Yashashree was unable to perform and couldn’t connect with the audience,” says Supriya, who’ll enter the show soon, but with a twist as her character will now turn negative.
After playing the lead and positive characters in Bairi Piya, Babosa - Mere Bhagwan and Looteri Dulhan, why did she take up a negative role? “This is going to be as good as a parallel lead, and I’m looking forward to playing grey shades now .... I am all for experimenting. That’s why I’ve no qualms even in coming back to TV after doing Bollywood,” she says.
