Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, son of assassinated former premier Benazir Bhutto, as foreign minister. With this Pakistan got its youngest foreign minister and Shehbaz Sharif gave his coalition ally a key role in repairing frayed ties with the United States and other Western countries. President Arif Alvi administered oath to Bilawal at a simple ceremony at the Aiwan-i-Sadr (President's House), where Pak PM Shehbaz, former president Asif Ali Zardari as well as leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) were present. 33-year-old Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, chief of the PPP, will accompany Sharif on Thursday on a visit to Saudi Arabia to boost trade and investment.
