Brazilian President Lula Da Silva lashed out at the world's major financial institutions at the United Nations General Assembly’s 78th session. He called out the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for unequal disbursal of financial resources to Europe and Africa. Moreover, Lula dubbed the BRICS grouping, also comprising India, as a strategic alternative to the top financial agencies.
