Watch | Attack on Tanzanian student not racist

Home Minister of Karnataka G. Parameshwara said the assault on a 21-year-old Tanzanian student does not have a racial angle and it is not a reflection of the mindset of Bangaloreans. He called it a reaction to an action of a Sudanese student. The alleged hate crime took place a short while after the Sudanese man mowed down a woman in the same area on Sunday night. The Tanzanian student was stripped, assaulted and paraded naked by a mob on the outskirts of Bengaluru in the presence of police.
