Amid lockdown, Delhi CM invokes ‘patriotism’ as migrant workers leave capital

As migrant workers sought to leave Delhi due to the Covid-19 lockdown, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issued an appeal. He asked Delhiites to help the weaker sections of society. He asked people to not cut pay of workers unable to report to work due to the pandemic. He also asked landlords to show leniency in rent collection for a couple of months. Meanwhile, the government converted some schools in the national capital into temporary shelter homes for migrant workers.
