ASHA workers at ground zero of the Covid pandemic

Sangli district is one of Maharashtra's five districts of concern which have been responsible for at least 60% of the state's cases in the past month. Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA workers) have been at the forefront of controlling the pandemic for the past 16 months. From making door-to-door visits to track illnesses, to exhorting villagers to mask up and maintain social distancing, their job has been relentless. We hear from two of them.
