COVID-19: India observes Janta Curfew; streets and roads deserted

India observes 'Janta Curfew' to fight against COVID-19. 'Janta Curfew' began at 7 am on 22 March 2020. Several deserted roads were observed across the country. The curfew will last till 9 pm of 22 March 2020. In Delhi's Madhu Vihar, police were seen encouraging people to stay indoors. Parasnath railway station in UP's Giridih was also deserted. On 19 March, PM Modi asked people to stay indoors for their safety. However, those working for essential services could step out.
