WHO thanks India as Modi govt announces resumption of Covid vaccine export

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus thanked Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya for resuming India’s vaccine exports to the global platform COVAX. India on Monday announced the resumption of Covid-19 vaccine supply to COVAX from October. The vaccine supply was paused in April as India tacked the deadly second wave of Covid-19. Tedros, in his tweet, said India’s contribution will help to reach a 40% vaccination target in countries by the end of this year. Watch the full video for more details.
