Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister for the ninth time on January 28, hours after snapping ties with the Mahagathbandhan and going back to the BJP. BJP’s Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha were appointed as Deputy CMs. Nitish’s departure has dealt a huge blow to the opposition INDIA bloc of which the JD(U) chief was a big part. Meanwhile, Assam CM doubled down on his claims that Rahul Gandhi uses body double in Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, as he promised to reveal the identity of the doppleganger.
