Abhijit Banerjee on economic slowdown, liberalism and future of India

Nobel Prize winner Abhijit Banerjee spoke exclusively to Hindustan Times about his academic work, anti-poverty programmes in India, the state of the economy and society. He also spoke on the Indian economy and the global slowdown. He added that the trade war between US & China was detrimental for all countries. The former JNU student also spoke about education in India and the need for talented teachers to keep the students interested.
