CJI Ranjan Gogoi pitches partial delinking of CBI from govt control

Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi delivered the 18th DP Kohli memorial lecture in Delhi. CJI Ranjan Gogoi spoke on the 'qualitative and quantitative' gaps in CBI. CJI Gogoi said that gaps in CBI exist on both operational and command sides. The Chief Justice cited a Parliament standing committee report on CBI vacancies.
