‘India has not sought talks with Pakistan’: MEA slams Imran Khan’s aide

MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava has lashed out at Pakistan NSA Moeed Yusuf's claim that India had sent messages seeking talks with Islamabad. Addressing a press conference, the MEA spokesperson said that India has not made any such offer and added that Pakistan needs to first stop supporting terror groups. 'As regards the purported message, let me make it clear that no such message was sent from our side,' Srivastava said. He further attacked the Imran Khan government and said that they continue to divert attention from its domestic failures by commenting on India's internal affairs. He also lashed out at the Pakistan leadership for their hate speeches against India. Earlier, Moeed Yusuf, special assistant to Imran Khan on national security and strategic policy planning had claimed that India had communicated a desire to resume talks after a freeze of more than six years. Pakistan has been provoking India with continuous ceasefire violations and has also unsuccessfully attempted to raise the Kashmir issue at several global platforms.
