Motor Vehicle Amendment Bill passed in LS: 10 things you need to know

The Motor Vehicle Amendment Bill was passed in Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Road safety and reducing the number of accidents are key priorities of the government. Stiffer penalties will also be imposed for driving under influence of alcohol, hit and run cases and other violations on the road. The bill is yet to be passed in the Rajya Sabha.
