Chandra grahan 2019: Partial lunar eclipse lights up night sky in India

A partial lunar eclipse was visible in India on the intervening night of July 16 and July 17. Partial lunar eclipse is witnessed when the Earth moves between the Sun and Moon. The three, however, do not form a straight line. During lunar eclipse, a part of the Moon's surface gets covered by the Earth's shadow.
