Serial bomb blasts amid Republic Day celebrations in Assam; none hurt

Serial low-intensity explosions rocked the state of Assam on the occasion of India's 71st Republic Day. Four blasts were reported from Dibrugarh, Sonari and Duliajan. No loss of life or property was suffered in the explosions which took place between 8:00 am and 8:30 am approximately. The terror group, United Liberation Front of Assam (Independent) or ULFA(I), claimed responsibility for the crime. Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, called it an act of cowardice and said that the police had been instructed to take strict action against the culprits.
