Watch: Gun fired on street in Bengal amid alleged clash between TMC rivals

A leader of the All India Trinamool Congress was allegedly caught on camera shooting at a rival amid a clash. The incident occurred in West Bengal's Murshidabad on August 30 when locals claim that two TMC groups clashed with each other over the setting up of some shops on the roadside. Asadul Sheikh is allegedly the one seen in the video taking a gun from an associate and opening fire. Abul Hossain, another TMC leader, claims that his son Johny was injured in the shooting. Reacting to the incident, TMC MP Abu Taher said that such activity 'won't be tolerated', and said that both the police and the party will take action. However, with state Assembly elections slated next year, the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party got ammo from the incident. BJP's state unit chief Dilip Ghosh called the incident proof of lawlessness in the state ruled by Mamata Banerjee's TMC party. Watch the full video for more.
