One of the most wanted terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, Zakur Musa, is believed to have been killed in an encounter on May 23, 2019. Musa was chief of the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind terror group, which was affiliated to the Al Qaeda. He was also a comrade of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists Burhan Wani, who was eliminated in 2016. Musa was tracked to a house in J&K's Pulwama. A fierce gunfight broke out at the location and the house in which Musa was hiding was completely destroyed.
