Alternate legal avenues being explored for Nalini

The team of lawyers who handled the appeal brief for Nalini Sriharan, presently undergoing life term for her role in the assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, on Tuesday proposed to explore other legal means after her mercy plea was rejected. A day earlier, the Prison Advisory Board (PAB) constituted by the Tamil Nadu government turned down Nalini Sriharan's appeal, who has spent 19 years in jail. It came up with eight counts as to why she should not be released.
