BJP calls for stern action against illegal migrants

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday demanded the creation of a national registry of citizens in the northeastern states to check the flow of illegal migrants from Bangladesh. To prevent illegal immigration, the Home Ministry has taken various measures like the construction of border fencing and floodlighting of roads to enable more effective patrolling.
