Controversy is not good for sports: Vijender Singh

Reacting to the controversy surrounding the sports of hockey and weightlifting including allegations of sexual exploitation by the coaches, Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh in Chandigarh on Thursday said that controversy of any sort is no good for sports, be it in the arena or off the field. He also mentioned the national boxing contingent for the upcoming Commonwealth Games is preparing on the right note and that the facilities at the National Institute of Sports in Patiala are ideal.
