Dhoni's elder brother joins BJP

India's main opposition BJP's electoral fortunes in Ranchi got a shot in the arm as the national cricket team captain's elder brother Narendra Singh Dhoni joined them on Sunday. The elder Dhoni said that he joined the party because he wanted to see his home state see fast-paced progress like the BJP-ruled Gujarat state.
