Gates of Tighara dam opened up after 9 years

Gates of Tighara dam opened after a span of nine years as heavy rains in Gwalior city had reached the level of 738 feet of the dam. Villagers downstream are now facing problems of commuting. The crops and cattle have also been affected, which has become a matter of concern for them. The capacity of the dam is 740 feet but the gates were opened when the water level notched 738.70 feet.
