Despite appeals of Hurriyat's hardline faction leader Syed Ali Shah Gilani to protest peacefully, stone-pelting mobs today clashed with security forces in Kashmir Valley, leading to the death of one person in police firing and injuries to four others in the violence. Meanwhile, Normal life was completely crippled as curfew entered seventh day today in all the ten districts and locals were facing acute shortage of essential commodities. The Indian Railways, which run a train service from south Kashmir's Anantnag to Baramulla in the north, suspended its operations for an indefinite period after violent mobs burnt railway stations and targeted tracks in some towns.
