Global leaders attend 7th East Asia Summit

Led by US President Barack Obama, Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao and Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, world leaders attended the 7th East Asia Summit (EAS) on Tuesday in Phnom Penh. During the meeting, India welcomed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership negotiations and stressed on the need for increased cooperation between the 16 countries of the bloc. The East Asian region comprises of more than three billion of the world's population and approximately 40 percent of the GDP.
