Gujarat students compelled to swim across river to reach school

Students have to swim across a river everyday to attend school in Gujarat, home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Boys and girls from 16 tribal villages in Narmada district swim to cross the 600 metre wide Hiran river and further walk for five kilometres to reach Utavadi, where the nearest school in located.
